Home prices were very volatile over the past few years, falling back dramatically to the low $200's in 2008 and then rising to over $300,000 in 2010. The median home value was $335,700 in mid-2018.  It is easy to see why retiring baby boomers would be attracted to this town that is in a quiet area of Maryland close to the Cheseapeake. There is at least 1 active adult community in Centreville (see link at left).

What is special about Centreville

Centreville is a cute little town that is not too far away from Annapolis and Chestertown. There is an interesting housing stock. The oldest courthouse in continuous use, and one of two 18th century courthouses in Maryland, the Queen Anne’s County Courthouse

It is a small town in a quiet part of the state.

Climate and Physical Environment

Centreville is located near a tributary of the Chester River close to where it empties into the Cheseapeake Bay.  January average temps are in the mid 30s while the average July temp is in the high 70s.

Restaurants & Cultural Scene

It hosts the Queen Anne's County Fair each summer. The Queen Anne's County Library has a large budget.

Crime

Crime is much lower than the national average.

Medical facilities

Nearby Annapolis and Baltimore have large hospital facilities.

Transportation

BWI Airport is not too far away.
