What Madison Landing is like

Madison Landing was a proposed 55+ community in Madison, Connecticut that borders the scenic Hammonasset River and Long Island Sound. The homes were to be geared to active adults and have been built by Leyland Alliance on the site of the former Griswold airport. In late 2009 Leyland Alliance offered the property for sale to the Town of Madison, and the purchase was approved in a referendum in 2010. The project will not be built as the town will be converting the property to playing fields and a nature preserve.
