Originally Loveland was an agricultural community famous for sugar beets and cherries. Denver is about 50 miles to the south. There are 2 community colleges in Loveland, which is home to many Evangelical Christians.

Outdoor recreation is outstanding with its nearby mountains, state parks, and Rocky Mountain National Park.

Loveland is a city in Larimer County of Colorado that is 10 miles south of Fort Collins and 46 miles north of Denver. Lake Loveland provides nearby recreation. It is on the Colorado Front Range along the Big Thompson River Canyon. It is near the entrances to Estes Park and Rocky Mountain National Park.
