As a Colorado town, Evergreen embodies typical mountain-community life. What Is Special about Evergreen

Evergreen Lake and Evergreen Lake House. Evergreen is surrounded by thousands of acres of land in the Denver Mountain Parks and Jefferson County Open Space park systems, including Echo Mountain Park which offers skiing, snowboarding, and ice skating.

What Is Not Special about Evergreen

One drawback in Evergreen is the high cost of housing - this is a very hot market. Although the downtown is interesting it is pretty much confined to one long street, and it is very touristy. In Evergreen you have to drive to everything.

Evergreen is 15 miles west of Denver in the mountains. The average July high is 81 and the average January low is 10.  May is the wettest month (2.6").
