Atlanta is Georgia's largest city and also its most gay-friendly city with over 5 million area residents. There is an active gay culture and social life thanks in part to its large size, youthful population, and many colleges and universities including Emory and Georgia State. The Pride Festival is held in November.  For a major city it has a fairlly low cost of living, tremendous cultural and recreational opportunities, and many already live here or have relatives in the area.  Atlanta is home to a number of colleges .  Atlanta was home to the 1996 Summer Olympics.

Active adults can either live in the many residential areas in town, or choose an active community further out. The choices are limitless, along with the price options.
