According to the National Association of Realtors, the median sale price in the Minneapolis-St. Paul- Bloomington MN-WI area was $287,000 in the 4th quarter of 2019.

What Is Special about Saint Paul

Saint Paul is part of a large metropolitan area with many schools of higher education, and neighborhoods. With the Mississippi River running through the city, it has more than 26 miles of riverfront, and is part of the Mississippi River National River and Recreation Area. Saint Paul is also considered to be a bicycle friendly town. Although it is known for harsh winters, the city celebrates it with festivals and a multitude of winter sports and activities.

Climate and Physical Environment

The average January temperature is about 15 degrees with July's average about 72 degrees. St. Paul receives over 60 inches of snow each winter. Skyways within the city help to keep pedestrians warm.

Restaurants & Cultural Scene

As the state capital, Saint Paul boasts beautiful and elaborate government buildings along with many historic landmarks and scenic sites within the walkable town. It also boasts the Minnesota Museum of American Art, a science museum, and Como Park, which is a beautiful and popular park known for its picnic areas, zoo and conservatory. The city hosts several festivals throughout the year, and the Minnesota State Fair is held here each summer. 

The city of Saint Paul makes the most of winter weather and offers outdoor skating in the downtown. But one of the most popular events is the Winter Carnival which draws over 350,000 hearty souls during a 10-day festival that includes music, ice and snow carving, and parades.

Saint Paul is considered to have a walkable downtown and offers a network of buses throughout the Twin Cities. It is also considered a bicycle friendly community. The Minneapolis-Saint Paul Intenational Airport is only eight miles away.
