I love the idea of a biking trip too. Much easier on a tour where someone worries about the logistics.

Don't know if you have seen the articles about New York City and its bike lanes. Mayor Bloomberg is a fanatic on the subject and the city is really turning around towards being bike friendly. Finally catching up with some of our western towns in states like Oregon, Washington, and Colorado.
