What is special about Lexington-VA

Lexington has an amazing history for such a small town. Three major military figures have ties to Lexington - Lee, Stonewall Jackson, and George Marshall.  Robert E. Lee is buried in Lee Chapel on the Washington & Lee campus, his horse Traveler is buried just outside the chapel. The presence of 2 great colleges is another distinction. Parts of several movies were filmed here including most recently "Gods and Generals" and "War of the Worlds".
