Bay View, a historic summer-only community in Petoskey, Michigan, was established in 1875, and provides a special environment for recreation, performing arts, education, and worship. Considered to be the Chautauqua on Lake Michigan, it is made up of over 400 colorful cottages and homes with beautiful architectural styles, and is a National Historic Landmark. Bay View residents gather from all over the United States for the six month season which runs from May to October, to enjoy classes, recreation, a music conservatory, and a host of preachers and speakers who represent various points of view. The community is open to all ages.
