Ormond Beach is a mid-sized town on the water that offers a low cost of living. The town has several parks and allows cars on the beach. It also has museums, and galleries, and hosts many festivals and events.

Ormond Beach has experienced several tropical storms and hurricanes, and has a high crime rate. Cars being allowed on the beach is not seen as a good thing by everyone.

Transportation

There is easy access to two interstates I-95 runs north to Maine south to Miami. I-4 takes you west to Orlando.The town owns and operates the Ormond Beach Municipal Airport, and the nearest international airport is in Daytona Beach just 14 miles away. There is a public transit system, and Ormond Beach is not considered to be a walkable community.
