For a small town of this size, there is an amazing number of landmarks and historic buildings. Fredericksburg, Texas is a small town north of San Antonio with a population of about 11,000. Fredericksburg is justly proud of its pioneer heritage, which is celebrated in places like its Pioneer Museum Complex.  Since the LBJ Ranch was not far from here, Lyndon Johnson and his family used to attend church here in town.

The historic Nimitz Hotel, now a WWII museum, is just one of the many historic structures in Fredericksburg. The Fredericksburg-Stonewall area is known as the Peach Capital of Texas.
