Livingston is a small town of about 6,000 people in east Texas. Livingston is 37 miles east of Huntsville and 70 north of Houston.  It is located very near Lake Livingston and Sam Houston National Forest. Onalaska and Coldspring are two interesting nearby towns.

Average January temperature is about 50. Livingston is in southeast Texas approximately 60 miles north of Houston. Lake Livingston is a very big lake surrounded by beautiful forest land.

Restaurants & Cultural Scene

For culture you would probably go to Huntsville for Sam Houston State University(10,000 students), or a bit further to Houston.
