The Galena Territory is a semi-private, 6,800-acre recreational and residential lake community located in Galena, Illinois, and designed for retirees, full-time residents, and vacationers.  Amenities include Lake Galena for fishing and boating with a marina complex, and property owners collectively own 1,900 acres of protected recreational land, hiking trails, an equestrian center, and a clubhouse complex with meeting rooms, outdoor pools, activity center, and tennis courts.  The Galena Territory was designated a Community Wildlife Habitat by the National Wildlife Federation.
