It's a relatively small community of about 10,000 that has been growing steadily - about 33% in the past decade. Life here is easygoing and water-oriented with a big cultural kick.

What Is Special about Rockport
Rockport has Texas's only certified Blue Wave Beach, making it one of the cleanest and safest in the state. There's no rough waves or strong undertow, so the water is great for swimming, kayaking, water skiing and boating. Rockport-Fulton are two coastal communities known for fresh seafood, fishing and entertainment on the Texas Coastal Bend. It's within a three-hour drive of Houston, San Antonio and Austin, and 30 minutes from Corpus Christi. Rockport is surrounded by water on three sides by the Aransas, Copano and Port bays and has been a favorite vacation spot for Texans since the 1800s. Together, they offer a bevy of group activities and beachfront meeting venues along the Great Texas Coastal Birding Trail.

Although it's primarily thought of as a vacation destination, Rockport-Fulton caters to small groups. It also has some of Texas' most unusual waterfront meeting venues, including the Paws and Taws Fulton Convention & Meeting Center and the Rockport Beach Pavilions. There are several hotels as well as the eclectic assortment of luxury beach resorts, cabanas, vacation homes, beachside condos and bed-and-breakfast inns Rockport-Fulton offers.
