It never freezes in Islamorada and you are surrounded by the most brilliant blue water you could imagine. The area has sensational sport fishing and beautiful homes. Ted Williams lived here, which is about all you need to know about how good the fishing is.

It's very expensive. It is very small and insular. When hurricanes come (and they do) you must evacuate up a long and slow highway.
